Our Work in the Community- 2024

Reentry Awareness Month 2024 Highlights

Grocery Giveaway. July 5th in Douglasville, GA.

In partnership with Blessings Working Together, (BWT) over 100 individuals and families received groceries, 10 of whom were formerly incarcerated heads of households who were the lucky winners of 2 additional bags of groceries AND a $25 cash gift card! Prior to the event, Waleisah and Shanequa engaged with those standing in line on their voter rights, voting with a felony and how to stay civically engaged, making contact with over 50 people within the hour!

Thanks to our board members Waleisah & Shanequa and the volunteers (Meeko and Brian) who helped shop, assemble bags, set up, unload, load and distribute bags to support our people.

We thank BWT for their partnership, to Kroger for their donation and to Pro Med Consulting, LLC. for their sponsorship.

There were more formerly incarcerated people who were not able to be assisted by us so please consider donating so we can serve more people next time. You can donate via cash app ($NewLife2ndChance), via givebutter by texting 2ndChances to 53555 or in many other ways here.
