WHO IS LIVING ON PURPOSE ATL?

Supporting Formerly Incarcerated Women With Living On Purpose!

Approximately, 1.9 million women are released from jails and prisons each year across the country. Roughly, 86,000 of those released, represent formerly incarcerated women in the state of Georgia. Unfortunately, there is very little attention and few resources provided to them once they return. However, LOPATL is doing its part to change this! LOPATL is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides formerly incarcerated women with employment opportunities, life skills training, counseling, education and housing to help them overcome some of the challenges they face upon re-entering society and give them a greater chance to succeed.

Housing, Employment, Career Development and Counseling

The women entering the program are provided transitional housing for up to six months, connected to employment and receive an Individual Career Development Plan to help them achieve their long term career goals. Once women complete the program, LOPATL helps to support them with finding permanent housing as well as support them with their goals of homeownership.

Financial Literacy, Health & Education.

While in the program, the women are provided resources to support their financial, physical and mental wellbeing as well as resources to help them get a GED or further their education.

WHO IS REFORM Alliance?

No one should be locked up for visiting a loved one. No one should be locked up for going to a family BBQ. No one should be locked up for picking up your kids. No one should be locked up for being broke. No one should be locked up for missing a meeting. No one should be locked up for everyday life. REFORM Alliance aims to transform probation and parole by changing laws, systems and culture to create real pathways to work and wellbeing. REFORM focuses on breaking the supervision-to-prison pipeline and seeks to replace it with one that creates clear and fair pathways to work, wellness and stability; that will create safer communities for us all.
