We are in need of volunteers for our upcoming July events and 1 volunteer (or intern) for a communications manager position. Please see the description for the Communications Manager at the bottom of the page. We need volunteers for the following days and times:  

In person

  1. Tuesday, July 1st. Columbus, GA. 10a-11am and 2p-3p. 2nd & Fair Chance Job & Resource Fair. Macon Rd. Library. You can also stay the full event.
    • You will be responsible for arranging tables and chairs for resource fair vendors, helping at sign in table, loading/unloading table contents for our table and clean up. You will need to arrive by 10am to set up. (will be treated to lunch after the event)
  2. Sunday, July 6th. Columbus, GA 10a-1p. Worship & Lunch Fellowship.  The Faith Community's Role in Reentry, Redemption & Restoration. 
    • You will be responsible for assisting the catere with loading and undloading, arranging tables and chairs, putting table cloths on tables and clean up. We'd love it if you can join us for 10am service. You will be credited for the time.  (lunch included
  3. Saturday, July 19th. Atlanta, GA (Cabbagetown). 10:30am-3:30pm. Networking & Business Expo event to Support Justice Impacted & Formerly  Incarcerated Entrepreneurs. 
    • You will be responsible for arranging tables and chairs for attendees and business expo vendors, helping at sign in table & assisting the catererer with loading/unloading table contents for our table and clean up. You will need to arrive by 10:30am to set up.  (lunch included)
  4. 4. Thursday, July 31st. Ellenwood, GA (ATL). 9a-3pm. 2nd & Fair Chance Job & Resource Fair. County Line-Ellenwood Library. 
    • You will be responsible for arranging tables and chairs for resource fair vendors, helping at sign in table, loading/unloading table contents for our table and clean up. You will need to arrive by 9am to set up.  (will be treated to lunch after the event)

Virtual

  1. Resource Collector- Flexible hours according to your availability. Responsibilities would include contacting employers and housing providers to inquire if they hire people with criminal convictions, including those with sex convictions and engaging in social media jobs and housing groups with employers and landlords about their open positions/vacancies to see if they are open to people with a criminal record. You would a collect the info and create and maintain a spreadsheet with the info for them to be in our data base so we can share with clients via email and social media.

COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER 
(volunteer or unpaid intern)

Whether you just want to give back and support or good cause, fulfill high school or college requirements or gain professional experience, we appreciate your support. Below are the expected duties of the position. Hours are flexible based on YOUR availability. MUST have a computer or laptop for the position. Manage Social Media Pages

Create, schedule and manage content for our social media pages: Facebook, IG, Twitter/X & LinkedIn.

Engage with social media page visitors and share posts to our page from community partners. 

Knowledge of a social media content calendar and experience with Canva and Buffer are preferred but if no experience, a willingness to learn these is REQUIRED.

Newsletter Maintenance

Maintain excel or Google Docs spreadsheet or table of emails of website visitors and supporters that were entered into our Postable address book or via our subscriber's form, adding or removing emails as needed, monitor our newsletter subscribers platform list and purge duplicate entries when needed.

Create newsletter content and distribute monthly newsletter.
